Job description:

MAN Diesel Australia Pty Ltd, the local subsidiary of the world’s largest supplier of large-bore diesel engines for marine and power plant applications, is seeking a Commissioning Manager for its 33 MW gas/diesel power station under construction near Alice Springs, NT.

Tasks:

• Developing and implementing the Testing and Commissioning Plan
• Managing the commissioning function, performance testing and handover of the plant
• Coordinating with Site Management to ensure safety requirements are observed during testing and commissioning

Qualifications:

• 15 years experience in design/construction/commissioning of power stations
• Tertiary qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Strong planning and communication skills

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the commissioning of the highest efficiency open cycle gas-fired power generation in our region. A contract package commensurate with skills and experience will be provided. The position will be based in Alice Springs and be for approximately 6 months.
